After 27 years with Tino-Gaetani & Carusi Chartered Professional Accountants, and a professional career spanning 34 years, John Carusi has announced his retirement, effective August 31, 2021. Terrence Tong and Vanessa Salvador will be our newest Partners effective September 1, 2021!![]() Vanessa Salvador, CPA, CAVanessa has over 14 years of experience in finance and accounting roles, with the last eight years focused on public accounting services. Vanessa graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, Specialized Honours in Accounting. Prior to joining TGC, she spent the earlier part of her career with a multi-national public accounting firm, then spent four years at a mid-size firm in Toronto. Vanessa continues to specialize in taxation and business advisory services for closely-held entities. In addition, as a licensed public accountant, Vanessa plays a prominent role in the firm’s audit and assurance practice. Vanessa’s commitment to continuous learning has her actively working towards the completion of a three year in-depth tax specialization with CPA Canada. This will enhance the ability to service her clients through sound and tax-efficient strategies. Vanessa also serves as a volunteer Board member of a non-profit childcare organization. In her spare time Vanessa enjoys biking, travelling and spending time with her family. ![]() Terrence Tong, CPA, CATerrence has 11 years of experience in public accounting services. Terrence graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, specialized in Accounting. Prior to joining TGC, Terrence specialized in taxation with a multi-national public accounting firm. Terrence continues to prioritize his clients’ needs and focus on tax-efficient strategies, sales tax matters, and other taxation matters related to non-residents. Terrence is actively involved in a non-profit organization that is both a social organization for car and racing enthusiasts, and also prides itself on giving back to the community through the volunteer work of its members. He previously served on the board of this organization as volunteer Treasurer, as well as Vice-President. In his spare time, Terrence enjoys photography and spending time on the race track. We congratulate both Terrence and Vanessa on this well-earned position, and look forward to their leadership in the Firm's growth and direction. |
